    Hello Xsyon Citizens!

    Another quick update: I've been patching minor updates to both servers over the past two weeks.

    These updates consist of ongoing server and client side optimizations. Over the course of this year I have optimized text functions, arrays and network packets for the entire game project. I am releasing these optimizations in steps in case there are any issues with a particular group of changes.

    Hello Xsyon Citizens!

    Just a quick update today.

    I'm planning to clean up data on both the War and Peace servers this week now that many minor issues have been fixed with last week's big optimization patch. In order to clean up data I will need to restart the servers and I will announce the server restarts an hour in advance (and again 15 minutes before the shutdown).

    Optimization and Bug Fix Patch

    Optimizations

    1) Corrected and improved occlusion system. This should improve frame rate.

    2) Revised text / string uses. This affects all text in game (chat, any displays with text).

    3) Optimized array systems. This affects anything that is stored in arrays (inventory, meshes, textures).

    Hello Xsyon Citizens!

    The Test Server is open for final testing of the upcoming big optimization and bug fix patch. Due to changes I made last week to the DirectX shaders that control many graphic effects and fonts I would like to test this build one last week and patch it to the public servers early next week.
