3) The final wipe and land rush will proceed in a controlled manner.

On the day of the final wipe, players will be able to enter the game and form their tribe charters, but not claim any land. This will allow tribes to form their groups and find their locations and then log on.

On the second day, players will be able to claim land, but terraforming will be turned off and combat will not be allowed on the Peace server. This will allow players to claim their lands without entire tribes being online, and once totems are placed, players can log off to reduce stress on the servers.



Explain. I see alot of issues.

Seems totem placement comes down to simply who can log on the fastest and click place totem.

Seems its really just a head start for tribes. As the first day they can form their tribes from 5 to 30+ and have their tribe leader run to the area they want to claim. The second day not everyone in the tribe neeeds to be on in order to claim the tribal lands. Homesteaders along with Tribes will be able to place a totem the second day where the majority of will already be standing in the spot they want.

And if multiple tribe or homesteads want that spot... who logs in fastest and clicks place totem. They will have already logged off on that spot during day one.

Every one still starts the same time, just as they would if it was done like last time. Now instead, they don't have to create some gimped load out just to rush to the spot they want, place and reroll. It was always a rush to log in the fastest and place, this doesn't change anything.

Sounds to me like the devs have lsitened to all the arguments and have came up with a solution.....the main argument from tribes was that it takes them longer to organise thier tribe together and set thier totem...Xyson has listened to them and offered a bit of a carebear mechanic if were honest. But it might stop us tribal members feeling threatened by the soloers :)

No matter what the Devs do someone will complain. This will be the exact same as the first land rush but with fewer people needing to rush. It will be orderly(kinda) and yes there will be people trying to get the same land. I guess some people will not be happy until a dev holds their hands and walks them to "their" spot and watches over them as they place the totem.

Editing just to say that I think this idea is the most fair all around. For this type of game and the issue of land grabs, what more can be done?

So 20 homesteaders are in place within a 220 meter range of an area. If one places a totem before the tribe, the tribal area is null, the other Homesteaders place there totems and thus decrease the area a tribe can palce a totem.

so a homesteader will not get his unique spot w/ junkpile in the mountains as a tribe now has 24 hrs to organize, find you, and outnumber you on the land you've known about (and they just found out about)

This mechanic is so damn silly. Instead of the excitement of tribes fighting it out en route to their special spots, we get World of Logincraft for the first 2 days.
