Jedes Jahr werden aus jedem der zwölf Distrikte ein Mädchen und ein Junge im Alter zwischen 12 und 18 Jahren ausgelost, die so genannten Tribute, die sich in einer Freilichtarena bis auf den Tod bekämpfen müssen, bis nur noch ein Tribut übrig ist. Die Spiele werden im Fernsehen und auf Leinwänden in ganz Panem übertragen, und die Bewohner der Distrikte werden gezwungen, die Hungerspiele als Fest zu feiern.
Bevor die Spiele beginnen, findet eine Wagenparade zum Trainingscenter der Tribute, ein dreitägiges Training mit den anderen Tributen und ein Interview statt. Anschließend werden Einzelvorführungen durchgeführt, und die Spielmacher schätzen die Gewinnchance jedes Tributs auf einer Skala von 0 bis 12 ein. Durch die oben genannten Veranstaltungen versuchen die Tribute, Sponsoren von sich zu überzeugen, die ihnen in der Arena teure Geschenke wie Nahrung oder Medizin zukommen lassen können, um ihre Überlebenschance zu erhöhen.
In der Arena werden die Tribute schließlich auf kreisförmig angeordnete Metallplatten ausgesetzt, in deren Mitte ein Füllhorn liegt. Sie haben zunächst eine Minute Zeit, um sich in der Arena zurechtzufinden. In dieser Zeit dürfen die Tribute die Metallplatten nicht verlassen, andernfalls werden sie von Minen in die Luft gesprengt. Nach Ablauf der Minute können sie sich beim Füllhorn und in der Umgebung mit Ausrüstungsgegenständen versorgen. Dies können sowohl Waffen als auch Nahrung und Medikamente sein. Da um diese Gegenstände vor allem zu Beginn besonders hart gekämpft wird, sterben viele Tribute schon im Startgemetzel rund um das Füllhorn.
Die gesamte Arena ist mit einem Kraftfeld umgeben, das die Tribute am Entkommen hindert. Wetter und unterschiedliche Spezialwaffen werden von den Spielmachern gesteuert; wenn diese und das Kapitol die Spiele zu langweilig finden, zwingen sie die Tribute durch verschiedene Eingriffe zum Kämpfen.
Für jeden toten Tribut wird eine Kanone abgeschossen und abends erscheint ein Bild des Verstorbenen am Himmel, sodass auch die noch lebenden Tribute wissen, wer getötet worden ist. Manche Tribute schließen sich zusammen und bilden Bündnisse. Außerdem gibt es die sogenannten Karrieros, die ihr ganzes Leben für die Hungerspiele trainiert wurden und sich dann freiwillig melden, um als Tribut anzutreten und meistens auch gewinnen.

Each year will be drawn from each of the twelve districts of a girl and a boy between 12 and 18 years of age, the so-called Tribute, who have to fight in an open-air arena to the death until only a tribute is left. 1. Event is running for 3 hours (or as a ongoing event...i would see)
2. Each tribe/guild can play the Hunger Games with TWO OF HER BEST MEMBER
3. All Hungergame Player starts with NO ARMOR.....NO WEAPON.....NO FOOD!
4. Startpoint is on MYSTERY ISLAND in the middle of the other planned Event "PAIUTE WAR 1860" between the tribe "PAIUTE INDIAN" ...tribe "UNITED STATES ARMY"....and the tribe "GOLDMINE"
5. all the player are standing in a BIG CIRCUIT by her start bascet!
6. In the middle of the player circuit are many bascets with FOOD,WATERSKINS,ARMOR and different WEAPONS and TOOLS!
7. Now....the GM gives the command for starting the event: 3....2....1...RUNNING!
8. All the player have now the selection:
- i run to the bascets in the middle and retrieves FOOD,ARMOR,WEAPONS,TOOLS,WATERSKINS (and this is danger..other player wanted also..and there is the risk that you die by start from the game)
- or you run first away and come later to this point...or you run to ZONE 700 to the tribe " A BETTER TOMORROW".Here are also any bascets with FOOD,ARMOR,WEAPONS,TOOLS
9. The aim is:
- the last living man is the winner!...or you make "QUESTS" on the QUEST TOTEM from tribe A BETTER TOMORROW where you can earn "CRAFTED PIECES FROM WHORLOK" and bring it to the tribe "GOLDMINE" if any player have 10 quests completed then he is also the winner!
10. BUT!....each time if the GM see its no action he can changed the rules and gives commands to all the player!..Hungergame player must watch to her commands!
11. each player dies is OUT OF THE GAME!
The exact rules are in work to bring the BEST FUN to this Event!..Also the big reward for be active in this Event!
12. All the other players can bet in front of the games and this would be on my GOOGLE DOC with daily info from the Event
