Downloaded, installed, user name / password - lock up
checked client log and everything loaded correctly, and launcher log only shows today's date, nothing else.
edit: rebooted computer, after 5th log in attempt it took me to new character screen.

Was the client locking up or the patcher?
If the client, you might have to wait a bit while it connects. We need to move some loading functions from right when you connect with the client to the world loading instead.
Yeah, it was the client side, the patcher was very fast to verify files, but the client locked up right after putting in user name and password.
