Uncover/Replant Functions
Replacement for destroyed grass and destroyed scrap
So a player was warning me that if I use resource on a scrap pile 4 times that it would poof, same with grass and a few other items.
So I was noticing that roads require you to be near a road to keep it going, I thought maybe a similar function could be used on scrap piles that destroyed parts of it you could activate a shovel and try "uncovering" when near other scrap using the normal dig animation to pull new scrap to the surface (basically just changing the dirt tile to scrap tile) allowing these piles to be restored over time. Of course this should be low chance say 5-10% to stop creation of massive fields (though I think most have rock around them limiting the chance of massive expansion in these regions) it seems like it would fix the current issue and allow for a interesting mechanic to be added as a pro con for scrap fields - deplete them to much you are gonna have to uncover them but at same time some new player can't destroy them cause they are unknowing
on Grass I think a simple seed being added and planted in the barren zones could fix this to stop random dead spots - some grass would simply have seeds like trees and could be used to replant - or just have them plant the actual grass to fix this.
I'm not sure if this concept could work on other areas of game cause I am new to it but I was talking to someone and they said I should post this info since it sounded like a possible solution to the problems
