Sound card is 100% required?
unable to create direct sound
getting "unable to create direct sound" and I can only assume this is due to my computer not having a sound card. I recently sold mine on ebay and I'm doing my homework for a fancy XLR sound card, but untill I buy that I'll have to be playing without sound for a bit.

not sure if this as been fixed yet, but when I did have my sound card, if I unplugged my speakers, it would give me a sound error repeatedly, making the game unplayable without sound plugged in.

This seems like a pretty serious bug, since anyone without speakers or a sound card would be unable to play this game.

The sound error when unplugging speakers was fixed a while ago.

I've uploaded a build to the Test Server that should not require a sound card. If you can check, please let me know if this works for you without problems.
