Can you take a town from another tribe and control it?

    Re:Territory control?

I would also love an answer on all three of these points.

Yes a tribe can take villages from other tribes.

Player own protected housing is going to be sorta like UO only you build/set up your house in the tribe's village.

    Storage is in your house.

During prelude you will not be able to take over villages I believe

    Re:Territory control?

If one tribe takes over another tribe's city, do all the player houses in the town open up to be claimed by members of the conquering tribe, then?

    I'm talking post-prelude, of course.

    Re:Territory control?

So does that mean I can't build my own house beyond the tribe's town grid?
Would be really nice if you could build personal hideouts/houses in the forests and mountains.

I think you cannot, but i am not sure.
But sure is: this is not a world that is friendly to persons who walk or live alone outside a village. There are lots of bears and other creatures and maybe you will see a hungry bear-family that plunders your hideout in the woods.

I believe that if it is unclaimed, you can claim it.
There is the high level design of a gameplay mechanic. Then there is what everyone does in spite of it.

    Re:Territory control?

I want to know how the resource claiming thing will work.

Will tribal towns have areas of control? And if so how are towns placed? In pre-determined locations or wherever you want?

If in pre-determined locations, will there be nearby resources that only members of that tribe can collect?

If I can put a town wherever I want, will there be an area of control? Will it show up on a map? Or have boundaries?

Will building an empire be possible?

It would really suck if it's like in Darkfall where you have no control over where the towns are placed.
