    Re: Currency?

The economy is entirely player run. It relies heavily on players to gather resources, craft necessary items and trade. Players can barter or buy and sell using local currency.
What local currency implies I do not know. However we at least know there is some sort of currency.

Remember we are starting from scratch - Perhaps a currency is yet to be found , Perhaps the gold ole barter and trade is the way forward until someone discovers currency ,

That would be truely epic. Maybe the currency would be introduced after the prelude?

Possibly , Perhaps we are to discover what is valueable or not - Im sure trade items will hold most value for a while due to production,

    Re:Currency?

I believe the currency will be player created or found. Heck, maybe its bottle caps we find scattered throughout the area.

Guy in town is wanting to trade excess goods might be interested in those bottle caps for the fact that its not something you see everyday, and its made of something other than wood or animal hide.

Later down the line, people start digging up shiny rocks...

Just saying, Xsyon did mention the game evolution and all.

    Re:Currency?

True evolution of a game is what they are selling here. It's what most of us been wanting for a very long time. The days of going to the same NPC. That has been standing in the same place for the last 10 years. To get that same quest that we have done way to many times, That it's not even funny any more, Is coming to a end. If this works they way they say it will.

And I hope that the currency will be they same way. Maybe it will be bottle caps at first. Then maybe pepper, Then silver and gold as time moves on.

Scaveneged Pokemon cards, traded at their price guide value.

    Re:Currency?

What would be truly unique is a true "Local Economy", tribe created and valued. As follows:

My local tribe has access to Oak wood and fresh fish. That is something another does not has ready access to, but they do have access to spices and wool, that creates a real trade and commodity throughout the game. That can evolve into multi-tribe based trade system that would eventually get you a currency system over time. Your bottle caps are worth x amount and it translates into an acceptable y amount to somewhere else based on an agreed trade relationship.

History class might be useful after all hmy:
