If you can connect to the patcher, but not the game server, CLICK THE LOGIN BUTTON INSTEAD OF PRESSING ENTER.
It will work.

Patch servers came down for a couple minutes, now they're up and I was able to finally get in.

Running as admin worked for me. But meh, I picked a bad day to try a complete reinstall.

The problem has been fixed
cheddar, please open task manager and end the process xsyon.exe that will fix your problem
