    Combat? Looks funky...

    the vids up make combat look like a bitch fight, slap slap slap....

    they just stand there and go at it...

    anyone else think this doesnt look like a fun pvp game?

    As I'm told by most of the people in game right now, Combat is really clunky, and needs a huge amount of work. I'm also told that it seems like something that could be easily fixed. I guess we'll see the closer it is released. Of course, you may also want to get a first hand source on the matter, than hearing it from me.

    They are already working hard on tweaking the combat I hear, but yea right now its very clunky.

    I have been speaking closely to the early access players and the general consensus is the following would fix up combat.

    1. Significantly slow down swing speed
    2. Speed up parry and dodge responsiveness
    3. Increase movement speed a little when in combat mode
    4. Change the swing animation to be more obvious

    Actually pretty simple, just will require a little tweaking, a most of it is speed or animation based.

    Dodge/parry are bound to a key? instead of moving to avoid being hit

    There is nothing from stopping you from moving yourself away from bodily harm.
    There is the high level design of a gameplay mechanic. Then there is what everyone does in spite of it.

    yes i get it but will it be 100% dodge/parry chance with the rigth timming or %based. I can see this cause some major problem in combat.

    well i wont preorder till i see it in action correctly .... unfortunately i wont play a game waiting for combat to be fixed...burned too many times.

    I agree with the notion combat looks like crap.
    From the few videos and screenshots provided by the community, thank you all, everything but the combat seems fine to me. Combat is a major system, if nothing is done, people will lose interest.
