If you are having this error, what worked for me was deleting the "Texture.xsip" file in the data folder, then relaunching the patcher.

Running in Windows XP in an "Admin" account. That's not the issue. Was fine last night. Can't get the patch going. It doesn't say which file it can't create either, so can't do anything about it.

You need to restart your computer. This is happening because there is a crashing exe still running in the background.

No, tried that. Network Admin. Just looking for the file it was getting hung up on. It was "Texture.xsip" in the data folder. Updating normally now.

This resolved my problem. Suggest closing thread and posting title and file to delete (texture.xsip) as sticky.
