Tribes and their allies

I'm hoping that when alliances are added in game it will allow the tribes without a territory/totem the ability to live with their allies.

If you have played DF then you know what I'm talking about.

At some point all territories will be taken, however you can still be a tribe without a totem.

Well I know you can set the permission on a container to friend. I am not sure if that friendship, container-wise, would extend to another tribe or homestead's character though. Would be nice for a simple homestead to be able to store important goods with another tribe for safe keeping. Trust would be a big issue though.

something similar to sb's subguild system would be nice as well.
