Digging through stone?

Is there a way to dig through stone? Even if we have to gather all of the stone, I think we should be able to terraform it after gathered. I haven't tried this out but it will be a real game killer for me as my tribe cannot dig access to the nearby water supply without getting through the stone.

You can equip a pick and remove the stone from your land

Can you? Do you just pick up the rocks from your resources tab? or is there more to it?

There may be small and big rocks in your territory, you can remove them with a pick. If you are talking about places which are made of stone (aka stone appears in your resources window) then no, you can't terraform a stone terrain.
