Sorry if this is a really stupid question, but are there videos of this game? I just stumbled across it and wanted to check out some videos to get a feel of the combat, the look of the game world, etc.

Search for the term 'Xsyon' on youtube. I recommend Saintbob's tutorial videos, really great ones, and AlexTarden's videos as well, they give you a good feel of the game.
