Its a bit too early to think these e-mails are for a select few, hense the "if you have a saved totem you will receive a second copy of this survey."

The emails were queued to send out to everyone. It's still processing slowly to avoid spam filters as much as possible.

You are aware that "TO" e-mail adress is pretty easy readable to everybody even if you did put a bit of paint over it? ;P

Please tell me that "you will receive a second copy" is actually a miscongruance, rather than meaning your vote counts 2x?

Two things worry me about this email.
"If you have a saved totem you will be receive a second copy of this survey"

and the 2nd question.

Two Servers? Please don't split the servers.

Yes, lets hope they don't mean a pvp server and a pve server....

Or indeed 2 normal servers based on location...

Actually, it's bad either way - or is it one with saved totems or one without?

Would be grateful of much clarification of the survey please!

If the second email asks me if I wanted to keep the totem that I haved saved from the 18th, I would answer "no". In that context, a second email makes sense.

Yes... please offer more than 1 server type. Give the players a choice.

There is not enough player base for more then one server, even on the first "launch" after 6 hours of trying to place a totem we saw maybe 3 people? Save the server types for when combat is fixed and alignment and tribe wars are in.

Is the question in regards to 2 servers of the same ruleset?

Or 1 server with the normal ruleset and 1 server with the "chaos" ruleset?

Jordi can you please clarify?? This would drastically change my vote.

The two servers thing was going to be US server and UK server, I know ping in the UK might be bad, but I don't think splitting the servers will be a good idea. I played MO which the server was based in Sweden I think. Or Arizona, I don't remember. But it was playable to all.

Sweden or Arizona. Practically next door, I get the two mixed up ALL the time!

=P. Well the game was made in sweden, I just don't remember if they had the server there or not.

A pvp server and pve server would be horrible. Sure, there is an influx in players because of launch, but segregating those 2 types of populations would ultimately defeat the purpose of the game lol.

Is it an NA and EU server? hopefully?

Based on the Questions I was thinking this was the purpose: If all the people with placed totems vote to not have a clean start they could offer a second server where everyone gets a fresh start. . so everyone is satisfied.

For example. . if they keep one server I would vote no to keeping totems (even though I have one saved). if they added a second server I would vote yes to keeping the original totems on the first server assuming the servers are the same ruleset.

Given that lag seems to be caused by teraforming etc. etc. it seems like slitting the population up might be the best way to resolve some of the technical issues for launch until some more things can be figured out. This is all guessing though.

haha I thought the very same thing.

Especially if it's a technical issue and he has to split us.

Jordi kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Who says programmers are not wise! har!

Personaly i dont think anyone that has purchased the game int he last 6 months should have a vote. I feel cheated a little here as i was a buyer way back when and now all the noobs get to come in and cry to get a chance at a location my tribe worked very hard to choose and keep. They did say they would save these spots for us that already placed them now they are backing out on that? Why? because a bunch of the new player base that did not stick it out through all the crap the rest of us went through in the last year. It aint right i tell you ,it just aint right.
ok vented... move along

I dont think its a huge deal either way but as some have pointed out my investment in the game is about 4 days so far.

That said, I think a full wipe of everything is best for a re-launch HOWEVER, the logins should be queued in segments based on who which accounts have been active the longest during the beta phase. I do want to stress however, that its not a big deal either way and to be frank the people who have played longer have more invested in their spots most which are nearly as fantastic as people make them out to be.

Every tribe and homesteads should pm their desired location to the admins, and if there is one which is disputed they should make a lucky draw, lol. That would solve the problem of the overstressed server by launch and would be fair toward everyone. :p

Just kidding of course.
