Is everyone able to patch the client?

I'm downloading the patch with no problem right now. Every once in a while, it will tell me which zone I'm updating and such.
I'm on TS, and some people are having issues downloading. I was the first one of my group to start the download and I haven't had any problem so far.

Good Lord, I've got 60mbps down thanks to Charter Ultra60, and I'm still downloading after more than half an hour since the updater stopped responding and I had to restart it... and there was half an hour before that crash, too... it only took me forty minutes to download the 4.5gig Dragon Age II install from Steam...

Something is wrong indeed, maybe a big patch, but it shouldn't stop responding because of it. Don't get me wrong, I'll use a torrent, but a lot of people won't. There are good reasons not to. It's just...it's so damn convenient! And probably my antivirus software (free version lol) can handle anything that tries to get through.

Actually, I take a scorched earth approach to malware, time consuming, harder on my hardware, but extremely simple. I do whatever I want to do within reason, and then every month or two (or whenever I get the sneaking suspicion that something sneaked in) I just wipe my entire hard drive and reinstall my operating system(s).

Just curious, I assume the server farm Xsyon is on will charge a rate for network traffic? If everytime a player patcher crashed it start from 0, Notorious is going to have one hefty bill.

Well for those who are still having issues the "european" server connection seems to net a faster download and less disconnects. It might be the client download is still coming off the old server.

Someone is throttling the US download server. Forget trying the other server since it's dl rate is in 15KB/s.:mad:

As I get discon, unknown errors, etc. I alternate between US and EU patch server. It sees the Xsyon.exe as "different" and redownloads the client. The zone.xsip seems part seems to resume normally, but there once again appears to be two different versions of the client executable. Anyone else noticing this?

Yes, because there is no euro server for the game. It's just the patcher, and it's the same thing.

i'm able to patch from the euro server but at what speed...i don;t know. the one time i saw numbers, it was DAMN slow. 1mb every minute or so. good thing i have my magic alprazolam pills to take care of impatience. i'll sit here and look at the pretty numbers go by...wheeeee! i still cant complain much.

Downloaded the patch like it's 1999.
Ran the game, it errors on zones 782, 783 and 784.
Xyson crashes after loading entities.
Cannot download the US patch because it's not available for work today.

All this because of some long names and adding more junk piles because we obviously can't have enough of those.
