If you patch for an hour and then stop the patcher, do you have to repatch what you already patched?

Also how do you see how big the file is or how long you have left?

It's starting where it left off for me. Crashed twice, and haven't had to start over.

Did they release a new patch or are you talking about the game in a whole?

Lucky c*nt.

If it's not holding files after the crash, then I don't know what the deal is. That process was implemented months ago.

It was implemented over a year ago...doesnt mean it works...

His lucky is correct....
The vast majority who have to forse restart a failed DL need to DL over a gig afterwords...

Many are lucky and can DL the basic update but others hang up with the influx.. get corrupt files and have to reDL major parts of the game...

Mostly I was commenting on the complete lack of any way to measure the my own progress. 9 hours and 15 drops in and I'm still only getting a "Updating Data\Zone.xsip".

Edit: also it seems that I'm about par for the course. There are a bunch of people that have it way worse than I do.

Just tested a manual shutdown, since I'm not in a hurry to play a game without anything turned on, and it does delete the Zone.xsip file.

Crashes didn't for me, but manual did.

How do you see the amount needed to dl and the amount you have already on the patcher. I dont see where everyone is getting that important piece of info

It goes through some process of analyzing files or something, then it will actually start to download and show you the progress.

P.S. -

Tell them to open the pipe, Jordi. It's ridiculous. Our money wasn't meant for you to buy Mountain Dew and Doritos.

It will show after 30 minutes or so.

Mine got up to 700Mb of 1.10Gb then froze(not responding). I closed the launcher, started it back up and now I'm at 5Mb of 1.51Gb.

I'm going to bed.

Well everyone and their dog is trying to download this large patch at the same time. From reading the update, it appears that the whole Xsyon map (assume zone.xsip) has to be downloaded again to accommodate all the new scrap piles that folks have been wanting.

Big map = big patch
Lots of simultaneous downloads = small % of bandwidth per download
