Only 1 seed and too many leechers, so it's not going to help much. I'm getting 3 - 36kb/s on my fiber connection. We need a direct download so more of us can seed.

Jasdemi, it might be a good idea to limit your connections until a couple people get the whole thing downloaded. Right now we are choking you out with too many peers.

You will need to use a program like WinRAR to "unzip" it. I am not sure if the newer versions of Winzip or 7zip handle rar files.
Once unzipped, copy it over into your Xsyon directory. I would recommend backing up your old version by renaming it before you copy the new file in. Once you are sure that it works you can dump the old renamed file.

It will be slower, but you can kill the patcher and continue on the US server when it comes back up. It's going to take you at least a day to download at this rate.

If you want to get picky, Nuke is a slang Term for both Atom Bombs and H-Bombs. (Nuclear and Thermo-Nuclear).

Do a search on "Xsyon Launcher" string (Xsyon Launcher*) and you will find where you installed it. Do entire drive just to be sure.

Bad idea to install games in the x86 or Program Files directory trees. Vista and 7 throw shit-fits when you try to alter stuff in those directories. Games and other programs that you patch or mod a lot should go into their own directories, like making up your own Games directory or whatever.

Unfortunately, I don't recall the default install directory. Sorry :(

Thanks for the info! I already accidentally interrupted this download once, which forced me to redownload the same file size from scratch. I'm hoping my speed goes up a notch once everyone got their hands on the torrent update!

Problem with Torrents is that ISP's often throttle Torrent ports as they all think you are downloading pirated movies on it. Kinda frustrating that they do this, especially when most torrents are perfectly fine.

The US "PATCH" server is down, while the EU one is online. It doesn't matter which one you choose, as you'll connect to the same game server.

Took a bit for the connected... stage to clear, and then I am back to downloading 225mb file at the same slow euro DL rate... which is suspiciously close to what I had remaining via the official launcher. wtf?

I downloaded the torrent,
renamed my original zone file so it wouldn't be lost to an overwrite,
extracted the torrent into my xsyon/data folder,
restarted the launcher (waited for connected... part),
and then back to DLing....

Kajones, when you extract the rar into your xyson/data folder, check it and make sure its about 1.5 gigs in size. It's only about 8 megs bigger than the old one...which is confusing to me why we needed to download so large a file.

Yeah I checked that, and checked what I extracted agains theh torrent file. it is just a little larger than the original file. For whatever reason, I seem to be 'locked in' to downloading form the launcher. Each time I have stopped theh launcher, and restarted it, it has picked up with theh remaining amount of files size that it hasn't downloaded yet.

Whatever. 128 mb to go. should only be a few more hours. Makes me sick, but glad to hear that at least others are able to get in and play.


Hell, the whole thing is making me sick right now. Wishin I didn't even bother with this game. Determined to actually get a chance to PLAY it for all my trouble.


I'm off to conduct head shots with extreme prejudice in Left 4 Dead 2 for a while.... it seems to help.
