Great game so far and I believe the more options we have, the more creative we can be with the sand.

I would like to see a mechanism to allow nomadic tribes. Currently, the only way to move your totem is to disband, relocate, then re-invite everyone. That's a broken system as it's not feasible to get everybody on again for re-invites. Plus, nomadic tribes do not disband, they are just moving.

Idea: Make it so the clan leaders can carry the totem on their back and walk to a spot for relocation. If they are interrupted (killed), then the totem stays where originally placed or maybe even where ever it lands. Possible negative side-effect would be disconnects.
All structures left behind become ruins or salvageable.
No magical, your baskets follow you. Tribes must move their stuff on their backs. Keep the realism.
Of course there needs to be some really long timers in between moving and maybe even a window alloted for the move itself.

What do you all think?

The idea is pretty decent. I agree that whether it be this system or another system, there needs to be some sort of move totem feature other than disband and reform. Tribes grow, there might not be room for them to expand, they might decide to move father from enemies, closer to allies, or closer to enemies they really want to put the pressure on, or to new resources, or just want a change in scenery. There are many, many reasons a tribe might move locations including a nomadic RP like the OP is suggesting.

Sign.

Would be really nice to be able to move your totem.

Fantastic idea. Nomadic tribes should not be able to terraform, however. If they want to do so, they must declare themselves non nomadic perhaps. They can then terraform for a period of 30 days or such before the "cooldown" is up on being able to switch back to a nomadic tribe. As to not destroy too much land.

That's the one problem with this game. A year from now it will look like a post apocalyptic world actually does look like. Beaten down and land chunks everywhere (aka people who can't terraform neat structures)

Yeah, would be nice if when a piece of land is abandoned that it reverts back to it's original place.

It would be kind of nice if the land had a memory and if you just upped and moved a totem, the land would slowly, "erode" back to its original form. Would really reduce eyesores people leave behind when they decide to move their totem.

Did you just seriously suggest being Disconnected from the game as a negative side effect?

Wow great idea with the switching between nomadic and not and the cooldown!
