zone 740 is curently unplayable

At launch my frames in 740 were anywhere from 60-100 but as time went on my frames dropped lower and lower. As of right now my frames are between 3-5 making the game completely unplayable at the moment. Ive done a lot of exploring the last few days in other zones around 740, as soon as i get out of zone 740 my frames increase to 60+.

I have the same issue. double to 15 times better FPS outside of my home zone of 740.

I know the mod closed this thread yesterday and suggest we move it to the stickied Server Status Thread... but this is pretty much a different subject than the status of the entire server.

same as silver, it doesnt matter what the graphics settings are set to, either way its 5 fps. right now im exploring zone 736 and running 79 fps with everything on high

I think maybe i am the only one not efected by poor frame rates in 740 everyone else i know is having an issue except me, May just be my rig but i dont know, I have an i7 950, Overclocked and water cooled to 4ghz, 12gb ddr3 2000mhz ram,gts 450 1gb graphics card. and live in Perth Australia with a ping of around 250-290 ms anyone else with simmilar rig having frame rate issues ?

I have no issues running crysis 2 maxed out with everything...


Anyway i dont think its a pc spec issue as it used to be fine befroe and monitoring my hardware when im plaing its hardly used really, one of more cores does jump to 80% now and then but its not constant im guessing thats the one xsyon is running on lol, hardly any ram used really maybe 1.5gb, g card is hardly used lol..

I went to 740 I had no issues, fps was 65 for an hour.

I run most games without a problem, however I did get small lag jumps here and there like everyone else and I get graphical errors up the ass like:

Green Mist Gone
Water doesn't reflect properly
When in a ditch, I see Deep Blue sometimes.

small things but never lag... expect that one time I got 0 FPS that was cute.

Getting the same way in 1022, when I was traveling to 1061 to trade, I went from 15 fps in 1022 to 60+ fps in 1061, I was like "........".

Before all these patches my fps never went below 60, not even 59 and now I'm lucky if I see 25 max in my tribes town.

Like mentioned above, It's maximum 25 no matter how low I put my settings.

My guess is that anyone saying they do not have an issue just have very high end PCs (already shown by 2 people). I'm willing to bet they took a major frame hit in the area, though, but it's still high enough not to notice bad performace.

yes im sure you are right , it seems to have a lot to do with processor speed more than anything, I am running 64bit windows 7 and have my CPU Overclocked at 4 Ghz

I can run crysis 2 totally maxed out no issues lol but this game runs like crap in zone 740.

its not like the processor is getting maxed out or anything either..

Added after 32 minutes:

JUst did a quick test.. ran to zone 700 fps perfect.

Started to monitor disk usage, cpu, memory and network

Ran back into zone 740.. gigantic network usage spike then went back to normal but now fps was also back right down. everything else stayed a constant really..

I dont have a super computer or anything but I should be able to run this game steady at 60 fps at least.

I have 2 GTX 460 running in SLI

4 gigs ram a 800 mhz

I only have a duel core processor which is most likely the main issue E6750 @ 2.8 Ghz

Wouldn't surprise me if it was primarily a processor issue. A lot of games start off with the cpu taking on a lot of the graphics focus instead of the gpu. I don't know if it's easier to code or if that's the "default" of code or what.

and in my current zone I get about 60-90 FPS
But I travelled to the other side of the map around the whole sugarpine area and it seems on the western side of the continent I get about 10-25 FPS really bogged down on the other side.

mediocore machine here 4 years old , only trouble i have is when changing zones(when that happens i stop running or movin for like 3 to 5 secs and all is fine) so much for graphic lag.

and i highly doubt its zone related in general, maybe someone is doin some funky shit :)

not got a super computer either, but before the patch just after the server "launch rollback" i went from around 40fps to a sloww 4-8 ¬_¬

In Zone 740, hardly been able to play with it as it's so damn laggy

and yes it's always updated the graphics card.

So very close to asking for a refund due to poor performance after patches, tomorrow marks the 2 week period from when the game went "live" and the "2 weeks free??"

Really hope it gets fixed in this zone :(

Yessir, 20ish in 740. Very playable. Still 40-60 in other places.

Did you guys see the rediculous amount of fires in zone 740 DUH.. ofcourse it was lagged out.

The animation of each of the fires it what lagged the zone.

They fixed lighting in the game.. and it seems like even the areas that seemed alright got noticably better.

Seems they put a limit on light the fires project in a space. I have 3 fires about 15 yards apart from each other, but only 2 light their area.
