The Covenant of the Phoenix is a multi gaming guild that has been around for more than a decade with chapters in; AC-DT, SWG, CoV, Guild Wars, LotRO, EQ2, UO, PotBS, DDO, Vanguard, Age of Conan, WoW, DFO, EVE, Lord of Ultima, Runes of Magic, Rift and now Xsyon. More chapters will open up as the need arises. Let's face it, mmorpgs come and go. When looking for a guild you will want one that is willing to expand into other games. As of right now, SWTOR, GW2 and ArchAge Online loom largest on our radar.

We are much more than just a guild, we are a family. The community is very active in the management of the guild and the website. All members are viewed as equals and are not considered just another number. Our members are very friendly and helpful both in the game and on the forums. While we may be a multi gaming guild, we have always taken strides to maintain that close knit family oriented feeling that is often associated with smaller guilds. We aren't looking to expand our guild just for numbers sake, we are merely looking for more friends to game and chat with.

The guild's goal is to meet and keep gaming friends, and together, expand into other games as member interest dictates. The guild was founded on the principles of loyalty, honor, and brotherhood and thrives because on-line adventure games are more fun in the company of kindred spirits. Our membership ranges in age from teens to the comfortably retired and geographically spans the globe (although most are adults residing in the North American continent). Most of us have jobs or college commitments and families, and therefore we support the premise that real-life has priority over game-life. So power gaming isn't required.

Some technical info: We currently use a 400 man mumble server, have around 1000-1500 active members at any given time, a great website with very active forums and have a lot of helpful officers and leaders.

Apply to join at our website (http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com/forums/topic/269-application-to-be-a-member/).

Heya MrDDT, i think i've run into you in the IRC channel a couple times... Yeah, we've been working extra hard on getting our terraforming completed for our Tribe and now we're getting buildings placed down and our containers organized...

Fairly soon we'll begin taking advantage of the games Quest system, so we're looking forward to that...

If either of you are interested in joining our group lemme know or if you just wanna chitter chat in game, we always have someone logged in...

Our guild as a whole is very very active, and our pressence in Xsyon is growing...

So far what I have seen in the game I am truly likening it. No more "magical" teleport or any or the unrealistic magic stuff from many other MMO's. This is just down and dirty realism. The fact that you have to actually work for every thing you get is just awesome. Skill based advancement is a mechanism I truly love. If I want to be a good fisherman, I just keep fishing to raise my skill through actually doing it. This game has a huge potential as they grow over time.

The best decision I made 7 years ago was to join Covenant of the Phoenix. (http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com) CotP is more than a guild, it is a large family of friends who support each other in and out of games. The community is friendly and very active on the forums and is spread across multiple games.

A guild can make or break a person's experience in a MMO. Different guilds for different folks. The trick is finding one that will become more like a family than a guild and will last throughout the years.

I encourage anyone that is looking to join a mature gaming community to visit our site, in any case, it doesn't hurt to look. So, please feel free to visit us at:

The game has great potential for expansion that is for sure... They have many plans for developing the game... The fact that they are taking many of their que's from the community that plays is a real testiment...

I'm proud to say that I've been a member of this gaming family for many years, and over many games. I've made wonderful friends in this community. Because we take pride in supporting both the hard core, and the casual gamer I think you will find that this guild offers a rich gaming experiance. And as you have read in other posts you can not find a better group of people to work with.

Nice group of folks here. I'm not part of the tribe, but live in their area and have nothing but good things to say about them!

I am in my eleventh year of membership. I don't think I can express my gratitude enough toward all the fantastic people that I've gamed with over the past decade. This truly is a family of gamers that holds no equal and a gaming experience like no other.

We're still quite active and our city continues to progress, pm Throne or Vessa with any inquiries about membership or merger!
