Belmail here looking to play another fun looking sandbox MMO! I've played a bunch including Wurm, ATITD, and Haven and Hearth. I found them all to be enjoyable but at some point lackluster because either the development got dropped or was slow or the pace of gameplay seemed too...strict. So now i'm here to play and hopefully make a good mark on this game and have a great time with this community. :)

Well what do you suggest doing first once i've found a place to hunker down? (I like playing solo, at least at first.)

Well if you want to solo, your either gona have to trade to get yourself started or take basketry as your 1st craft, currently if you don't start with basket patterns there is no way to discover/learn them in game. Once your found a home and planted your homestead and got yourself some storage baskets your gona need tools, best way is to find a tool that used very few easy to gather materials and few tools, for example stone needles or stone wrenched are easy to grind on. New tools can learnt from crafting usually every 3 tools crafted or so.

TBH what interests you?

You could go scavenging/foraging to raise skills,
Terraform your land.
Go hunting and become a bonecrafter.
Craft different things see what you would like to become.
Go out exploring meet your locals chat to people.
Or do a bit of everything it might change your mind on what you thought you would like doing :)
