Tips and tricks for the NEW player

Chat channel commands are now listed when you login, so no need to repeat here...

However, a few tips to help you get started and not feel so lost your first time logging ine.

TIP 1 : Look that the bottom middle of the screen. You will see the zone number, then the (POS) position numbers. the left pos number means east/west. Whaen the left number is going DOWN that means WEST. The middle number means north/south and when it is going DOWN that means you are heading SOUTH.

TIP 2 : To drink water, stand in any body of water, lake or river, and right click the 3rd from the right icon bottom of the screen that looks like a shovel and pick. It will say resources and when clicked it opens the resource dialog that shows any resources you are currently standing on. When standing in water you will see a water drop in the resources box.. right click it to drink.

Might I add that if you go east past first posn 1024 youre zone increases by 1 (conversely going west past posn 0 decreases your zone by one). If you go north past posn 1024 your zone increases by 40 (conversely, going south past posn 0 decreases your zone by 40).
Also, the third coordinate is your elevation

Id like to add one: Do not be shy, most players here will help you here, all you have to do is ask. If you dont like global or local chat, just do a whisper to some one in game, most will be willing to help answer questions :)

To change camera view press the Home key.

If your going solo "Tips and tricks for the NEW player" can really help you, But if you think you want to join a tribe. I would say, Find you a nice active tribe that takes new players and join them. Learning in-game with tribe mates is much more enjoyable than just sitting here reading it. With a tribe you can be doing, BSing(chatting with tribes mates), and having LOL moments as you learn the game.

I would just reiterate this regardless of the water.

Open your Actions Menu and drag your fishing, hiding, scavenging and foraging icons into the 3 - 4 - 5 & 6 slots on your tool bar. It makes it much easier to perform those actions vs mouse clicks.
