So the game as been out awhile is there still going to be technological advancement in the game? I figured that ranged combat wouldn't take that long to learn even in real life.

Beware of that the list changes a bit though and that Next Round doesn't mean "Next Week" or so. The current round was a tad shorter a few months ago. I posted a question for the devs in the increasingly inaccurately named thread "Questions of the week" about an estimation of when things are to be implemented. We can only wait and see what happens.
