Can't craft a skewer

In toolcraft, I have a recipe for forager's Skewer. It takes some twigs; I select a count of 1, which requires 1 twig, I right click on the twig on my back and it goes to 1/1. The craft button doesn't react to mouse-over and I cannot click it.

Same thing after a restart.
I've been able to craft other tools.

I see; but I read something about cooking that says I have to move the skewer to the campfire to select that.... so now I understand had to move the crafter knife to the slot to make the skewer.

Exactly...you must activate the tools you need for the craft, you can click and drag the tools and same for materials or you can use right mouse button. Bye
