Hunting issues

First, you don't seem to get much time to cut up corpses. If you're delayed for any reason after killing something it will probably disappear before you get a chance to extract everything.

Second, there appears to be an issue with the right click menu. The first bear I killed I didn't have my hunting knife in hand and whenever I right clicked on the bear corpse the menu would appear for just an instant. After trying a number of times and mentioning this in IRC I realized that I probably needed to wield my hunting knife. But then the corpse disappeared (see issue above).

Next bear I killed I was able to cut up no problem (still not sure what to do with the head...) but when when I tried to cut up a third one I had the same issue as the first time despite still having my knife in hand. Also, I eventually crashed the client after right-clicking a dozen times or so. It's possible that I managed to click the menu just before it disappeared which may have lead to the crash.

I have a video of the disappearing menu captured that I can upload on request.

Not sure if its your problem, but sounds to me like you either had the bears (you had trouble with) selected or you had something else selected (like another player).

It was this. You can't skin a corpse if you have it selected. That sounds familiar for some reason even though this is the first time hunting was turned on.

Anyway, the disappearing corpse issue still stands. I'd like them to hang around for hours personally. Simply because they can serve as a clue that someone is in the area.

the containers did the same thing, that's what your thinking of

the self closing menu happens for all types of animals for me to, I noticed the corpse still shows a bit of health..

Killed like 20 animals and only one deer allowed me to harvest, the menu keeps closing 1/24th of a second after opened...

And i agree, the corpse poofs way to fast too.

too add, i have reported the exact problem and cause to Jooky and he said he will work on it tonight.

Virt found out if you unselect the corpse, then it works, thx virt!

Also on a side note the bones dont seem to stack.

Yeah I have no problem skinning them if I deselect them first, also ^ he is right, bones do not stack right now.

You mean self stack? Because I can combine some of the stacks together. Like flat bone and spines, usually get 12 small bones and they don't combine, get 8 round bones and they don't combine, but get 4 flat bone and they stack to 5, and spines stack to 10.
