Hello, a few basic questions.

just logged on and the game is pretty fun.

Can I claim some piece of land to start my own city?
I'd like to name a place....


I had more questions, but worked it out on my own.

Chopping down trees does a number of things; it clears land, gives you either long or short logs. Short logs can be used for crafting wooden things for building or tools, long logs are used for building or refining for building material.

Claiming land at this point is done by tribes. A small number of people(3) can get together and claim some land to terraform or build on. At this point solo players can not claim land of their own and settle.

I found myself in a strange land with no answers and no people around me.

It was quite amazing.

Thanks for the info, I think thats about it for now.
I think the best course of action seems to be finding a tribe of people.

Is there text/lore I can read/discover in the game?

currently all the lore is on the front page of the website. so really your making the story at this point

Creating your own lore and story is fine by me.

But I was hoping to find more in the world.
Like books and such.

That 1 page story is more of a moodsetter then "the" story right. ;)

Its not that I like heavily scripted stories, its that I like to know where I am, when I am and why I am.

My personal stories always end up trying to answer those 3 questions.
