Christmas Gift Bonanza & Feast
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Xsyon
not a creature was stirring, and nothing was dying.
The kebabs were placed by the chimney with care,
in hopes that Jordi soon would be there.
The players were nestled all snug in their beds,
while visions of supreme items danced in their heads.
And Jexa in her Daogwa, and Bubbaa in his Cedarrat,
had just hit B for a long winter's nap.
When out in the tribe there arose such a clatter,
Bubbaa sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window he flew like a flash,
which he dismantled on accident in his hurried dash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
gave the lustre of midday to objects below,
when, what to his wondering eyes should appear,
but one of the guides chasing a deer.
Following behind him, as fast as could be,
Bubbaa knew in a moment it must be Jordi.
More rapid than eagles, his Guides they came,
and he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now Uriel! Now Ariel!
Now, Forcas and Rashnu!
On, Israfel! On, Sariel!
On, Raguel and Xaphan!
To the top of the porch!
To the top of the wall!
Uriel, leave the deer alone!
and answer my call!"
So up to the house-top the Guides they flew,
with the cart full of goodies, and Jordi there too.
And then, in a twinkling, Bubbaa heard in the night,
guffawing from the guides at his dismantled plight.
As he drew in his head and was turning around,
down the chimney Jordi came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
and his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of objects he had flung on his back,
and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His eyes--how they twinkled through his feathery mask!
Bubbaa shuddered in fear, thinking this was his last.
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
that shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly.
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old dev,
and Bubbaa laughed when he saw him, glad he wasn’t a rev.
A wink of Jordi’s eye and a twist of his head
soon gave Bubbaa to know he had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
and filled all the bins, then turned with a jerk.
And gave Bubbaa a wave as the music it played,
and laughed as he moved through the hole Bubbaa made.
He sprang to his cart, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But Bubbaa heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all of Xsyon good night!"
The Valorinak Republic would like to take this time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and hope this holiday season is a safe and happy one. We will also be hosting a Christmas Gift Bonanza on Wednesday Dec. 23rd. This event will be open to all and will start at 10:00am PST and will continue all day. The event will take place in the auction area in the trade center where the Mist Trade Totem is located. There are tables set up for the Christmas Dinner that will follow, but players will find a wide variety of bins, pouches and bowls scattered around the tables. It'll be a first come, first serve deal as all the bins, pouches, and bowls will be set to public and the goodies are up for grabs to everyone. Please remember this is the season of giving, so lets be sure to leave items for the next visitor. These bins will be refilled randomly throughout the day with different goodies. There will be a Christmas Dinner supplied by Xsyon’s one and only Bubbaa! Thank you, Bubbaa for your wonderful donation of food. During the Dinner there will also be a $1 auction. All bidding will begin at $1; this includes a 10 and 20 slot cart. Other items will be master tools, supreme weapons, a vhq pioneer ToolKit, and a few BPs.
