Question about Alliances

If a friend and I play together we'll be limited to a small homestead, correct? What if we both start our own homesteads? Will we be able to be allies? Will we be able to help each other construct or will we only be able to build on our own homesteads?

You are only able to build in the tribe you are in. There is no in game tools for allies.

So pretty much you have to either leave tribe to help your friend build (joining his) or you can just make the basic resources and trade/give them to him.

I expect later there will be more tools once the good/evil system is working.
