I've seen the suggestion for wells and/or springs before. I too have a few places in game, including a spot I'd love to have my tribe, that I decline to build in simply due to lack of easy/close access to water. Trips with a cart full of buckets to fill barrels.....not something I want to do all the time.
While I could see them being added either to arch, or farming, or even resources.....woodcrafting is also an option. Wells would likely be made of wood, possibly some stone and a bucket as well, so that fits. And it's something that you can level easily and quickly without need to drop a totem....nice way to clean up random log piles. Bonus, the stats for woodcraft aren't likely to mess with any of the typical dumpstats. :D
I also agree with the skill lvl of 20-25. It might be nice to have a 'simple' well around that level, and later maybe around 75-90, getting a recipe for a 'deep' well (think equivalents to base armor/tools and master armor/tools, etc.). A simple well would have durability and only last a certain timeframe/uses and a deep well could be permanent.
