Materials missed

i add a long wood log to the craftwindow in woodcrafting, using the "long wood post" recipe.
when i click on the "craft" button, it starts the crafting but right when its supposed to finish i get the msg that i miss materials to craft the item. the log dissapear in the craftwindow but ist still on my charackters back. Kysoa confirmed the same problem.

server seems to be laggy atm. maybe thats causing the problem.

the chance this happens is about 30%. i had a log which i moved 6 times back to the slot to finally craft it. i'm still abel to craft but i get this msg most of the time.

As I'm still unable to duplicate this issue locally, I have a few questions.

1) This happens only with items crafted from materials from your back (grass, logs). Correct?

2) How often does this happen? (1 in 10, 1 in 100, all the time?)

3) Can this be reproduced on the current Test Server build?

Thanks!

Answers:

1. Incorrect. This happens to any skill and regardless of whether a material from your back is used.
2. This happens more and less often depending on either lag or frame rate - unsure which, though more inclined to think that it's the frame rate. When nobody is around, almost never happens. When another player is close to me, it happens a lot. When 2-3 players are near, happens on 4 out of 5 attempts. I think it also depends on the amount of trees and architecture that's nearby, but I'm unsure if this is true.
3. I imagine it can be, but it would take for multiple people to be together in one place. Bug almost never occurs when I craft alone.

Summary: log in lots of people next to you and have them run around and do things (moving logs around the area, gathering grass, running with carts, etc etc) and try to craft in the middle of all that - unless you have one of those monster computers, I'm sure you will catch the bug sooner or later.

You're Welcome!

This issue has crept back up for me as well. Same as before, it only happens when crafting with grass or logs from my back, I've never had it occur when crafting with items from my pack(s). Bins open or closed, cart open or not, happens regardless of what is or isn't open. It's random...could happen a bunch of times in a row with the same grass/log or just a few, could happen many times in an hour with multiple bundles/logs, or only a handful...once in a while I can enjoy a long stretch without a single error. And it happens when people are around or when I'm off by myself. Still unable to find a way to reproduce the issue or cause it to happen on purpose. When we try to get it to happen, it doesn't and when I'd like to just craft peacefully I can't. lol

I know ppl have posted the extended error code recently in the various posts, but if you need it again, I'll write it down when I see it.

I've patched an update that may fix this (as of 2:30 PM PST Dec.5 through the official Launcher only and not through Steam yet).

If you still get this problem, let me know and I'll keep looking for potential causes. If things look good today, I will update the Steam build with this change.

Thanks!

Bit late in responding, but thus far it seems that this issue is hopefully fixed again. I was able to cut many piles of logs into wood components without getting the error. Didn't spend as much time checking this out as I'd have liked to, but I only had a short time and only so many piles to work with that day.

Ok, thanks. A few players have reported that everything seems ok now, so I'll close this one.
