NOTE: I know we have bigger fish to fry first, But wanted to get this in the new suggestions area while I was thinking about it.
From the Xsyon game manual:
Logging
Every tree you see in the world is a potential resource that can be chopped
down. Equip an Axe in your right hand, keeping your left hand empty. Face your
character towards a tree and Right Click the Logging Action in the Action Panel
to begin felling the tree. When the tree has been felled, Right Click the trunk of
the tree to select an action to process it.
Most all this has been talked about but I'm only seeing one suggestion here in the new suggestion area. And I have the link and what it's about here in this post, But more on that later.
First thing I would like to start with is the amount of time it takes to chop down a tree. Even a high skilled logger should take a lot longer to chop a tree down than what it takes a low skilled logger does now. I'm not talking 5 minutes or anything, But it should take more than a few seconds for a low skilled logger to take a tree down. And it may also need to be changed where it takes more than one action to chop down a tree at the lower skill levels. Giving you a chance to break your axe. I rerolled my toon not long ago and have not counted the number of tree's I have cut down, But I have yet to break my axe. Can you even break your axe at cutting down trees? Is it like terraforming and the shovel? I would like to see it take more than running up to a tree with axe in hand, Click one time and a few seconds later the tree is cut down.
Moving past cutting the tree down now we come to chopping it up, Here is where a post is already started.
Logging cycle Issue Number 894 you will see this suggestion
cut tree >turn into long log > have ability to chop into short log
To add to this I would say it needs to be done in more than one action. Righ now in just a few seconds I can turn a large tree in to a big pile of long logs or short logs in one click.
If thay keep all this as one click wonders, At lest make the damn things take as long as fishing does.
