The way house architect structures should work

There should be a left piece, middle piece, and right piece.

The current roof size is 4x4 (way to small btw)

Based on my idea If this was broken up you would have a 1x4 left piece, 2x4 middle piece, 1x4 right piece.

After you put them together it would make a very tiny house but it would have the correct roof angle. (you could use more middle pieces to make your house wider)

You wouldn't really have to change anything with the current roof's you have in game but with the following setup I think it would make them obsolete.

The next size up would be 8x4 (this is where it gets really good for letting the players decide how big they want their house)

8x4 left piece, 8x4 middle, 8x4 right piece.

The middle piece would only have posts on the ends that way you don't get posts inside your house and this would allow you to make your house as wide as you want by just adding more middle pieces.

next up would be

12x4, 16x4, 20x4 etc

With this setup you could make less architect pieces overall and give us the ability to make houses as large as we want.

One last thing, I'm hoping that it will be possible to add stairs to the outside of your house to allow access to the 2nd floor from the outside. This would benefit small and large tribes by allowing more living space in smaller areas.

Added Bonus: Walking around inside feels cramped because of the low ceiling - would be nice if we could make houses with 2x the height for our ceiling. (which means the 2nd floor would start at the new height)
