Try 2

Now that we can post things like this again here we go with try 2.

A few things i have found, a mixture of bugs / suggestions so just cramming them all in suggestions.

(These are gleamed from dual boxing 2 accounts, which may have a bearing depending on how windows messages are processed)

These are my opinions, for you trolls out there, if you disagree with it fine, remember to keep it objective ...

Sound Effects
I am a old guy, as a result i involuntarily double click buttons alot
and i have found that with tasks and buttons that have sound effects, like building
if you dble click it plays the sound effects twice one slightly after the other.

If a person in your tribe is farming or performing the same action over and over
such as pulling grass, you can hear it far away, also if they run up to you
after performing these tasks they bring the sound effect chain of them say pulling grass
for the last half hour behind them, so while your talking to them you are still hearing
the sound effects catching up i guess.

Animations

Same thing as above, often my second account will be done with an animation, while my first account
still sees it for quite awhile afterwards. (and time has been allowed for first account to focus).

Animals

Ok we all know the animal issues, so let me talk about one that i have not seen spoken of directly

When you as a player move you are bounded by objects with colliders, or for the layman,
a solid object that stops you from moving, we all know animals do not care about such silly things
and we have discussed it before, but what we have not touched on is they ignore terrain too, and again
we all know about the escape up a mountain button they have, but also when fighting them and moving on
the terrain to attempt to dodge them, the terrain effects your movement speed, while it does nothing
to them, so backing onto a scav pile generally ends with a bear munching you while you wait to go home
and lick your wounds.

Small Changes that i feel make sense

Farming.
Skill raises too fast, 4 farms will get you up to 90 skill, while it does nothing for foraging
i would suggest changing harvest from farming skill to foraging, and then giving the end resulting plants
the quality level generated from foraging.

Fishing
Man, what a hate love relationship i have with this, i enjoy fishing, at times, but the skill rate gain in this
is the worst ever, and i think it is even slower than pulling grass at a low foraging level, if you start fishing
off at 5, it will be many days to get it to 25, i feel thats a bit unbalanced, and fish are needed for alot of
other skills, so i guess my summation here is i think the actual fishing time between casts should be reduced a little.

Masonry

Ok, this is a touchy one, this is an extremely repetitive task, i feel the green xp you get from it is too much
yeah i know, blasphemy, i raised my skill to 70 and by then had around 4 green levels from it, it seems to be more
gain than other skills, however i am aware it is probably the exact same formula, just the repetitiveness of the task
may make it seem like more.

Animal Radius

Animals currently ignore walls and walk right in to smack you while building, i know this will be addressed in
future updates, however shouldn't animals also naturally want to stay away from populated areas ?
Meaning they wont run in through your doors into your house, they would run the opposite direction
and or completely avoid any inside place that has a fire roaring ?
So to sum this up i think small animals and deer would keep a certain radius away from fires, maybe not bears
or animals with a temperament problem, but most would still be wary of fire.

Trade

When using a totem or mist trade tent and looking for a global sale, the directions given are most times
impossible to find, even with hours of searching, any way you could place the zone they are in instead of
directions ? would make it so i would at least search one zone to death before giving up, and not feel as if
even if i had 2 lifetimes, i will never find this place.

In addition, if looking on a mist trade tent, you can never tell if the tent is accessible to the public
or not, (meaning behind locked doors), so after spending 2 hours and actually finding the place, you are
probably locked out.

Permissions

Public setting on tents and bins do not seem to work (when the bins are inside a public set tent), i put tons
of food up on the commissary made it public and all the bins public, and had to end up adding the players to friend
and setting it all back to friend/tribe access for him to get into it.

Current Ideas to help game-play
______________________________________
Travel is a big one here, i know you have plans for that on a large scale in the future, but maybe before that
lets say player A meets player B, then make each other friends, they live on opposite sides of the map, so visiting
requires a few hours.

Well, i feel that if i ran to meet them once i should be able to craft or buy an item that would teleport me to them.
Or actually maybe call a horse and buggy with a work order to come pick me up and drive me there in 5 minutes,
so i can visit with my friends, and not get a Charley Horse, this can be sort of abused on pvp as friend could call
backup alot quicker, but i am willing to put up with the periodic massacre to travel faster :D

Currently, and i have spoken of this before, large game is off the menu unless you have a group, well population
is too low for that right now, can we tune down the deadliness of the animals so we can experience that part of the game
until it is more balanced ? would like to work on hunting, without getting beaten to death by a squirrel i should
be able to boot against a tree while a bunny with 5 inch fangs waits in the background.

Crafting
Hey, can we have a perfect craft every once in awhile ? maybe super boost the quality of the item like once
every 100 crafts of that item ?

Also can we craft more than 20 at a time for things like bricks ?

and for things like grass thread it allows us to go up to 20 but you can only pull 4 grass at a time, so it taunts me ...

Also, i would like to be able to purchase tribe radius to further support the game mainly because trying to raise your tribe radius
now by getting new players is counter-productive, could be a max on allowable radius purchases, which will let me grow my town without
relying on players who play for 1 day and delete the toon.

Thats all i have for now, some nonsense, some not, hope it helps even if a little.

Did not want to start a new post, figured i have time before anyone wakes up to add to this.

Non Game Breaking Store ideas

Titles all in colors, so the person can sport this perm on their char
Founder

Sell-able Incentives to add to packages
% faster food consumption
% totem buff effectiveness
% to speed of skill while on tribal land (foraging, farming etc)
% to slow decay of equipped items (while on tribal lands or allied lands)
% to radius of tribal land
% to time of death while starving (meaning you get extra time to realize you forgot to eat or drink before you fall over dead).
% to speed you move (over obstacles that would normally slow you IE scav pile) while on your tribal land, after all you should
know it like the back of your hand.
Can think of more eventually.

Blueprints.

Currently to get the special blueprints we want mainly for architect we have to wait for xmas, or be given them by
a gm somehow, what about a vendor that carries the hard to get blueprints, and sells them for coins you can only get
through the website ?
I know i would have no problem paying 30ish bucks for a tent or a wall to spruce up my town.
I also know my brother does this too, and quite a few friends.

Now i know the big worry here is turning the game into pay to win, well just do not offer any special skills stats
or anything you might find game breaking unless it is on tribal or allied lands, seeing as how on pvp you cannot attack
others on allied lands, i do not see how it would cause an issue as, the minute they step off tribe land they are normal again.

One of the biggest issues to the length the game takes to go into release is money, you need money for models, graphics, coders,
and the more you get the faster it gets done, i have seen other games that have raised millions by this point, doing the exact
same thing i mentioned above, so again i know you hate this idea, but maybe put her on the back burner for a bit and think it over.
