Craft window resets every time you raise by .1

The craft window resets/un-selects your recipe that you are crafting and reorders the recipe list back to the default every time you raise your skill by .1

I can understand if this is a way to prevent macroing, but at least raise it by 1 not by .1, almost every other time it resets.

IMO this doesn't prevent macroing at all. It stops people from wanting to play.

Same thing with resources having to click it each time to craft. It should save the resources in the window until its used up. If you want to use another resource move it out and pick a new one.
Same with tools.

True enough, the constant clicking does get a little tiresome, especially with the now added problem of the window resetting every 0.1 (even though I love that it shows the increments now)

What it really comes down to I guess is that crafting with small "easy" items like thread up till 100 is in the long run faster, with often much higher and more complicated recipes that need more tools, more different materials barely giving enough exp to make them worthwhile. I'm not talking about 20% more exp for some piece of armor, I'm talking about an exp value that is like 10-20 times higher than your average thread craft attempt. Making the same item like thread or punches over and over again is the reason why a reset of the window gets an issue in the first place. People are in a way forced to make thousands or perhaps even tens of thousands of the same item to get their skill to the high ranges as a recipe with 2-4 tools + 4 different mats is very time ineffective.

It would not only be way more fun to be able to train up with a variety of different items just because you go along crafting them when you need them, making armor, tools, bins etc for friends and yourself, it would also avoid the whole click a lot to get a lot of xp issue, the typical skill grind.

It's not a bug. It's annoying and something that hasn't been tested properly and therefore should be in another forum.

If it has been properly tested or not is of no real relevance anymore, because as we have it right now, it's on live. If it's a bug or not is questionable, we don't know for sure if it's intended for the crafting window to totally reset after each skillpoint up (or now for every 0.1), it really makes no sense for anything else than new recipes learned. Because of this I'd say it's "not working as expected" and as such a very possible bug.

A software bug is the common term used to describe an error, flaw, mistake, failure, or fault in a computer program or system that produces an incorrect or unexpected result, or causes it to behave in unintended ways.

It's definitely unexpected and I'd say that it causes behavior in unintended ways as we have it right now in my opinion thats a flaw. That would make it a bug, by definition. Bug and feature are just two sides of the same path, as we cannot know for sure how it was intended to work, that justifies this here.

I'm quite sure it is -not- a bug.

But I gotta agree that some form of easen up on those would be of great help to incite those areas being used/played more..

I hate that as well - reset every 1 skill point would be bearable, but the "only" case this is really necessary would be learning a new receipt, even then its doubtful if its necessary.

Actually all lists behave that way (Skill list e.g.).

It a pure GUI issue - someone just uses "refreshlist" and that call does not remember which entry of the list was selected before the update (to select it after the list has been refreshed).

Please fix that - especially if you skill up new/low level skills, this happens way to often as it is now!

This needs to change.....the game is already a grind like old style MMOs, and that brings back good memories....but lets not go over board with the grind..... get rid of the window rest!

Also give a small increase to the EXP for bigger items......

And then allow me to stack in 10 granite at once, please!

(window rest is most important change though!)

I've noticed the notification is fixed for the most part but it still does the reset WITH notification that you have leveled when skilling up jumping for every .1 of skill raised.

Fixed - long ago (like 3 months now) - noone bothered to set it to fixed tough :P

.oO(Sorry I am in a test group atm in my work - and thats practically all I do all day - setting the bug reports to the proper state)

It does not unselect anymore but the sorting of my list still get the reset all time
