Put hp number in creature hp bar

You want to remove the hp bar from the top of the screen right?

Just simply add the hp number to the hp bar that is above the creatures head, than theres no need for it at the top of the screen anymore cuz you won't have to hover your mouse over it to see the hps, you can just look at the one over their head.

This would be easier for players too since you could see it while running around in combat mode.

Currently, if you want to see a creature or players hp, you need to exit combat mode, click on them, than hover your mouse over the top hp bar.. this isn't something you can do in the middle of combat easily, so by putting the hp number on the hp bar above the creature/player it would let you keep your eyes on the enemy at the same time as being able to see the bar/numbers you need.

No, I do not want to remove the hp bar from the top of the screen. It will be hidden only for dead creatures.

I can put the hp on the bar above creatures as requested but it will be an option so that players can turn it on / off.

Can you explain the logic behind having effectively two hp bars, one at the top of screen and one over the creature?

And can you explain the logic behind having it hidden for dead creatures (when you have the ability to click them and see) while keeping them for active creatures that you won't be able to hover your mouse over if your in combat mode?

The point I'm trying to make here is that if your in combat mode, you can't hover your mouse overtop of the top hp bar.. so whats the point in having it if its gone after you kill the creature? Your only chance to check it is after the creature is dead or if your outside of combat & it hasn't attacked you yet... but if its coming at you, you can't leave combat, hover mouse overtop of hps to see how much hps they have, cuz you'd take free damge of them attacking you.

I think putting hp on the bar above creatures would solve this issue; but I'm still wondering what the point of the hp bar on the top of the screen is when you can't access or look at it if your in combat mode?

Look, I set up these things based on player requests.

For my liking I wouldn't display the hp numbers at all. Ideally I would have damage being shown visibly on the creature / opponent. Of course that is beyond the scope of what I could do without a huge budget.

The health at the top of the screen is because originally combat was going to be like in Warcraft where you attack the selected target only. It was left there so that players can check the life of creatures when not in combat mode. Enough players want that so it's on.

I was removing it when a creature is dead - because the creature is dead, you already know the current hp, zero. Maybe I'll just leave it on so players can see what the max hp. That's ok, but not something I personally like. I think it looks dumb. I don't like all the visible numbers in games. They are there because of player requests.

I've already accepted your suggestion so belaboring the point just takes up time.
