No. The idea is bad. Game developement is not and should not, be a democratic process.

So, in your opinion game should available to only some players? that means what? are you trying to convert Xsyon in to a single player game? it's supposed to be free for all by all means, after all it is MMORPG.
Everyone has rights to have an opinion, not just a few people who want to control all.

There are no players that have any direct say in what goes into this game. We can make suggestions, we can vote on suggestions but thats it. The developers decide what goes into the game, NOONE has any say and thats the way it should be.

I think the developers have seen that they have a strong PvE group of players here too and they will do there best to accommodate us in there plans for the future. They have already said that there will be safe zone tribes i think that is fair. Its enough to keep me playing and who knows maybe i will give PvP a shot someday i just suck at it most of the times i have tried too, lol

Just let people to decide if people want few safe zones or few PVP zones, few PVP zones with rare resources and higher chance of gathering them in those zones, which also be a hot spots.

We dont decide anything, the lead game designer decides what goes into the game, our opinion doesnt count at all. We can make suggestions, we can give our input, but they are not obligated in any way to do what a majority of players want. Polls just create resentment towards developers when they decide to do something else than the majority want.

That is correct, in order to decide they created forum, to hear what people think is best for the game, and then they polish all ideas, only then they release patches/mods.
Again ""FORUM" is for majority not minority of people.
And poll is one of the means to see what people want/think without flaming wars as you are creating.
If guides don't do something about your attitude it will get out of hand.
If you are such a smart person? as you claim to be? then give me a better option, I am willing to hear your idea.
And don't forget this is suggestion area, so take your arguments to the forum area.

Devs should do what they are doing. Listen to ideas, think of how it will impact the game they are making, and make the choice that they feel they want the game to change into or what drives their direction.

I think polls are normally poorly worded and not useful most of the time. Because most people dont even know how to express what they want, they dont know what they really want, and most people dont read the poll or the info correctly to make the choice. There isnt enough info in a poll normally to make a correct choice.

It would be like trying to pick a president based on a 1 line statement from each.
Example.

Which server would you want to play on?
1) PvE server
2) PVP server

What does those options mean? Does it mean PVE only with no PVP at all? Does it mean safe zones some places but not all? Does it mean there is an evil vs good punishment system?
Polls were turned off for a reason.

You're wright polls need to be more like you explained in my other thread:
PVE server with optional PVP by flagging. (Flagging = Duels type flagging)
PVE server with optional PVP by flagging. (Flagging = Duels type flagging) and few (PVP zones)
FFA PVP server with optional contested totems. (Like we have now, safe areas but mostly FFA PVP)
PVP server open world PVP no safe areas. (Only safe area would be newbie spawn point of founders Isle)

Gah, dang it. I clicked the wrong freakin' button -- I meant "No". And, this is another reason why this simply shouldn't be, especially if you can't change your selection.

Are you saying no just to say no? or you have good reason for that?
For example:
Q/A would never allow hundreds or thousands of people to ask same question at one time, poll would allow those people to be counted, and developers could see how many people want one or the other change/mod.
Or should all people write personal letters to developers asking for a change???

People should use suggestions like the devs asked.
