Junkpiles that scale with use

Give scrap piles depth and lower the terrain when scavenging. Scrap piles are currently just textured, the suggestion asks that when the pile is gathered from the terrain lowers to reflect the loss of the resources in that area. Scrap piles also have a set depth so they can still run out.

100% agree with this idea, and I also think with this you should remove a LARGE % of the junk around the map. So people can even move junk piles like they move dirt.
So you dig down and get a bunch of unsorted junk, which you can move to another pile and make a pile there.

That could go along with carts. How about the ability to just cart it off like dirt?

it would be cool if for example picking up a roll of metal cloth plastic or leather would lower the junkpile 0.1 m, preserving its junkyness, and discarding an item would create a junk texture of depth 0.01 m. If 10 items are discarded a roll can be assembled. If the junk is less than 0.1 m it will say not enough junk here if you try to assemble a roll. The junk piles would have a layer of grass below them or branches, then dirt beyond that.

Thanks, Rothschild
