    Leather vs Cloth Straps

Not sure if this is a bug persay; however, most crafting recipes dont seem to care what type something is. For example a grass thread works just as well as cloth thread when thread is required. This is not the case with leatherworking.

Leatherworking recipes require exactly cloth straps. The leather straps, which are all that can be made directly, are not used for any of the recipes available at 25 skill.

I think that is a way of making you reliant on other crafters in game, leathercrafter can make leather straps and tailor can make cloth straps. Tailor needs leather straps and Leatherworker needs cloth straps. Fir the purposes of the testing we are doing now you can make 3 characters and have them make and drop in a bag the things that you need for other characters, then go pick them up. I have a feeling this is the way it is meant to be.

Aye which was what gave me pause if it was even a bug to begin with.

I think there is a taxonomy behind it. This means it works like the following metaphor:

"Give me a fruit" - you can give anything, banana, apple, orange, ...
"Give me an orange" - just an orange works
"Give me a red orange" - even more specific
"Give me some food" - anything goes, fruits included...
