Animal trapping is something I have never seen in a game. My wife looked at me yesterday and asked the difference between hunting and trapping and that got me thinking about this.

For Xsyon it could be something like farming. Crafters could create different types of traps and snares for different types of animals. These traps can be used with a trapping skill.
Each trap can be of limited use, and has to be placed on the ground for a certain period of time. It can either produce a weakened animal you then have to come back to kill and skin or just produce animal like materials like leather, bones, meat, etc...
