Vanishing Item

I found a lucky horseshoe, and wodnered it it was something u could wear as it didnt have a number, i dragged it onto the slot below the helmet slot and it said it couldnt go there, i dragged it onto the helmet slot and it vanished?

I don't remember in which thread exactly but was a while ago, it was reported that non-equipable items vanish when dragging them to the head slot. All other slots return 'Item can't be used here' or something.
