Creatures are broken, well at least coyotes are.

It simply can't be hit.

Period.

I tried attacking it with my hunting knife from every single direction and range possible. No damage.

I did the same with my fishing pole, my bare hands, my axe and my club, all to no avail.

This is broken.

I have seen the same thing. Was lucky that I took a video of it a few days ago. I was able to actually kill the first one, but when I tried to kill another one, it was impossible to hit.

At one point my fishing pole went through its head when it was stationary and it did not register as a hit.

This is absurd, I've tried every possible weapon right now with the exception of salvageable ones.

i killed a deer. needed 2 lives... very impressed with animations/sounds

need to polish all hitbox + weapon/combat range and add visual feedback and blood/gore

yeah coyote has no hitbox

With a little reading up on past bug submissions etc. you will find this has already been reported.Hit boxes are going to be worked on.Animals were only recently brought back into the game.

I just tested this and it works perfectly fine for me.

Was online with Virtus testing this and I was able to hit it, however the one I was attacking earlier I could not hit.

This leaves two possibilities,

My main character is bugged or, the coyote I was attacking became bugged.

Option two makes sense to me.

I think it works...if only I avoid deaths each time a herd of deers are near (have bad luck it seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when animals pop). When I do run away, coyotes greet me on the road. Last night I logged into one of my other character and a raccoon killed me. Am waiting for rabbits and bunnies to kill me next....

The animals are really new/fun. If your in a group (at least with one or two other people its pretty fun. Soloing is not easy. Which I think is nice. Cant wait for the epic bunny boss... :blink: :laugh:

They must have made them much tougher because I found it pretty easy to punch any of the animals to death (yes, using fists, no weapons) without a problem. This was maybe a week or two ago. I forget.
