Banning is not the answer, Prevention is.. Like has alread been said, random events etc should be used to stop botting.. attended macroing has always been fine.

The biggest problem currently is the macroing of terra-forming to increase level.. It is simple to set a macro that lowers tarrain then rases it then lowers it then raises it... etc.. then rest for x seconds and repeat... will easily level your char up in no time..

Question is how do you stop this kind of abuse.. its not fair to decreese gains becouse of people that abuse it, also its enoying to get random events ever 10 - 30 actions if your lagitimatly playing...

Depends on what you want to do.... it can be as simple as walk forward pressing a key or spaming right mouse clicks.. or as complicated as building a program to click areas of the screen in order etc...

Or even more complex, a macro becomes a bot... when it operates without human interaction.. for example resorece nodes in darkfall are fixed.. a series of scripts could make the charictor move from one node to the next and then to the bank all without interaction... these scripts are not easy but they are possable and should be stoped, though in a game where you can be killed at any time its not so bad... worse is the macroing skill gain and out balancing the players that macro and the ones that dont.. In darkfall there was a large health gap between people that afk swim to level there stats and thoughs that dont...
