Throwable Axes, Get. Lets use a Tomahawk as an example.
1. Grab a Tomahawk
2. Find a Target (Baby Racoon, Wandering Noob)
3. Throw Tomahawk at Target
4. ???
5. PROFIT
They should embed for a period of time too...Just for lulz.

Love this idea, would give weaponcrafters something to continuously make for everyone =)
Of course thrown items should fall to the ground and be retrievable by who ever gets to them first. Or lost, hidden in the grass.
Kistume, do you mean like a chance that the item disappeared?
It would make sense that throwable weapons could be recovered, but if they are recoverable they should take a hit to durability.
No, I was alluding to the fact that sometimes it is hard to find things in the grass in game.
There should not be a chance they disappear right away, but disappear later if not found in a time frame of maybe an hour.

Also, with the original post, being that we use a crosshair we need some type of shooting involved, so I agree.
No, not scavenge. Drop something small, Iike a pouch in a grassy area, then walk in a circle. Then try to spot it. It is not easy spotting small items lying on the ground in the grass in Xsyon.
Even harder to spot things on the ground at night.
All objects should be visible on the ground if dropped but they should incur decay hits over time till they eventually disappear (except Logs, Containers and some other things).
Trying to get back on Topic, How much damage should throwable axes do and what stats should affect that?

Not sure about the damage, but the main stats would be dexterity, agility and strenght in my opinion. How much damage should throwable axes do and what stats should affect that?
It would be about finding that sweet spot between range/dps/energy consumption.
