What if tribe drops below 5?

What happens to the totem if the tribe drops below 5, as in if someone leaves or quits the game? Will the tribe land/totem remain?

well as it is when I left my 2 man tribe my land reduced and furthermore the baskets that were protected on the extra space i had before went to public. I think this is fair. We dont want want a bunch of people abusing tribes
