I am sure this is posted somewhere I just cant find it. What is the land area difference with 4 in a homestead people vs forming a band with 5 ?

What would be nice is a ring around your base so you can see the area you have. Like a green outline or something of that nature,

well our clan land size just shrunk to the size of a small kids pool lol after the last downtime and someone in irc said there's grew so something is wrong again with land size
