    Natural Selection

We are being subjected to natural selection. Since the game is unplayable, and even when playable it's not saved, some people will probably go elsewhere. Eventually, the pain point will decrease to the point that the game is playable for whoever is left.

The real question is: will that be enough players to keep the game afloat?

The other option is to introduce login queues, so that at least some of the players get to actually play.

Your Gamer Darwinism theory could be correct.

However I still think the player base is compared to a room full of monkeys who are also playing xsion in a lab up in Cambridge. Like a weird sociological experiment to see which group has less sense.

The data from the experiment would be flawed unless they found a way to get the monkeys to part with $40.

Actually, although we don't know it, this is therapy. There's not really a game behind the screen, it is a giant psychological test and therapy program.

So you're saying this game's target audience is secretly masochistic mongoloids?
