I think that was a reference to the rollback, that's basically database corruption. It could all boil down to one of the hard drives on there Raid Array(which they should be using) is bad and is causing data corruption, it could be the compression method if one is used, It could be the link between the world server and the database server is maxing at capacity and dropping packets so its resending data(which they should be running GiB locally so this shouldn't be a issue)

It could also be the method used to save data into the database that is taking a long time to process. if its getting converted then it will have to be qued up and if that same type of request gets spamed it will cause a back log.

Database servers in my experience are like porn stars, can get slammed really hard before they start queuing the requests. Even very crappy database servers are usually very good to a point.

Maybe its the snow, it just appears on the ground, maybe its the rain it just appears on the ground too and seems to pool in places same as the snow, that seems to perhaps cause database issues.

they should try to turn off the weather effects of snow and rain and just leave day and night and see if the problem goes away.

And star, have you considered they aren't saying what actions are causing it so more 'retards' don't do them intentionally?

New to game releases Akkaros? Wow had a terrible release that lasted for like a month.

When you buy an mmo all you buy is the disc or download. They don't HAVE to let you on the server til you pay a monthly fee. It's just kinda custom for most games to give you a free month. However Xsyon was kind enough to give us two, plus time in pre-release plus two weeks extra.

Game? Isnt this the Lag Simulator 2011?

  7. #37

    Improve your lag experience

Lag is incremental, it does build up over time. Seems to be about 15 mins to get to about 60 secs lag or therabouts in a moderately busy time. Re logging every 15 mins is a pain but it does improve performance.

Playing "off peak" the lag is usually very low. - 7:00am - 4:00pm GMT

I think it has to do with the weather and seasons myself. I would love to see him test other seasons besides fall with snow patches. We've never had this much lag in the other seasons. Maybe I'm nuts but I really wish he would make it spring and see if it has anything to do with it.

Thank you for an awesome game and you better sort this shit out or give us more free time.
If this was my game, I would BAN this guy just out of principle alone.
