I found one in my travels and it was in the southwestern area of the map, and I don't think there is a use for it yet in-game. Maybe when our society advances.

Maybe they'll be the spawn points for mutant zombie dinosaurs in some future update.

Ok... ha.. I was wondering if it regens.. The pit. Does Tar come back after you harvest?

I think it acts like stone in the fact that it never goes away. Not sure though. I harvested one tar once.

Im asking cuz I do have a pit right beside my camp and Im extracting it. It kinda work like grass. Its a black spot on the ground and when you harvest enough at the same spot it disapear. Now I dont know if it comes back but eventualy Ill know I guess.
