Lightbulb Les Cendres - The Bridge

The french tribe Les Cendres is proud to present you one of their latest creation, The Bridge. The opening ceremony took place yesterday as a tribe event.

This little bridge was made of 150 long logs, many of them were chopped from Long Jeffrey Pine trees. Engineering details could be discussed with the creators ingame.
Feel free to visit us if you come near the zone 699, the coordinates are on the screenshots !

This bridge is built on one of the only two roads to go to the southern and currently green mysted zones from the central lake.
The other valley road seems crowded with agressive people waiting to block future north/south passages with an huge wall and labyrinth castles, not wanting to help travellers in their way with bridges.
We will keep the upper road open.

    Very nice.

The only problem I see with this, is that it shows how absolutely little there is to do ingame that grand projects like this are what occupies player's time.

In a game that centers around building and crafting, isn't this type of project EXACTLY the sort of thing people should be doing?

    Awesome bridge!

I would be personally very pleased if these long logs were possibily stacked on existing stone walls, or even just on smaller inexistant ingame stone bricks.
These element would be manually placed one by one. But we currently cannot stack logs or walls on on anything but terraformed earth.
Think about it : no more preformated houses for architects, but a bunch of little bricks to place one by one, making windows, gates, roofs manually and as you want to. In the direction of your choice.

For me, this bridge isn't a "grand project", it's a first sample of what i want to do with any aspect of this sandbox game : to do something unique and player inspirated/created with common ressources.
I hope we could do more of this in the future.

I guess... just blows my mind that this is the digital Legos sandbox. It was pitched as centering around tribes building and warring to control resources and land. So far I've seen a $40 Lincoln Log game with a subscription model.
